A Spiritual and Scenic Stop on the Everest Trek

 

Tengboche is a famous village in the Khumbu region of Nepal, situated at an altitude of 3,867 meters. It is a key stop on the Everest Base Camp trek, offering stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse.

The village is best known for Tengboche Monastery, the largest and most significant Buddhist monastery in the Everest region. This sacred site is an important spiritual center for the Sherpa people and hosts the annual Mani Rimdu Festival, a vibrant Buddhist celebration featuring masked dances and religious ceremonies.
