Samde

 

Samde is a small village located in the Khumbu Pasanglamhu region of Solukhumbu, Nepal, at an elevation of 3,582 meters. It is situated near the village of Thamo and the hamlet of Thametang, making it a peaceful settlement in the heart of the Everest region. The village offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, providing trekkers with a serene environment to rest and acclimatize. Though it is a small locality, Samde is an important stop for those trekking through the region, offering a glimpse into traditional Sherpa culture and the natural beauty of the Khumbu area. Its proximity to Thamo and Thametang also makes it a convenient point on the route for those heading toward Everest Base Camp or Gokyo Lakes.
