Pheriche

A serene Himalayan Village

Pheriche, situated at an altitude of 4,371 meters (14,340 feet), is a small yet significant village in the Khumbu region of Nepal, located between Dingboche and Lobuche along the trail to Everest Base Camp. It serves as a key acclimatization stop for trekkers heading towards Everest Base Camp or exploring the surrounding peaks. The village is surrounded by stunning mountain views, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Cholatse, offering trekkers a breathtaking experience of the Himalayas.

Pheriche is known for its serene and quiet atmosphere, making it an ideal location to rest and adjust to the higher altitudes. The village has several teahouses and lodges, where trekkers can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and interact with fellow travelers. The Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA) Clinic is also based in Pheriche, providing medical assistance for altitude sickness and other trekking-related health concerns, which is a vital resource for trekkers in the region.

As a popular acclimatization stop, Pheriche helps trekkers prepare for the higher-altitude climbs to Lobuche, Kala Patthar, and Everest Base Camp, making it an important part of the journey through the Everest region.
