Luza

The village between Dole and Machhermo

 

Luza is a small village located along the trekking route to Everest Base Camp, situated at an altitude of approximately 4,350 meters. It lies between the villages of Dole and Machhermo in the Everest region. Luza offers trekkers a peaceful environment and stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including the iconic Cho Oyu and other Himalayan giants. The village is known for its traditional Sherpa culture and serves as a resting point for trekkers on their way to higher altitudes. It provides a chance to acclimatize and enjoy the natural beauty of the region before continuing the journey toward Gokyo or Everest Base Camp.
