Lobuche

A Key Stop on the Everest Base Camp Trek

Lobuche, located at an altitude of 4,940 meters (16,207 feet), is an essential stop on the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trek in Nepal. Situated between Dingboche and Gorak Shep, this small village offers trekkers a chance to rest and acclimatize before reaching the final stretch to Everest Base Camp. The village provides stunning views of nearby peaks, including Pumori, Nuptse, and Lhotse, making it a scenic and peaceful stop on the trek. Although it is a quiet settlement with only a few teahouses and lodges, Lobuche is an important acclimatization point due to its high altitude. From Lobuche, trekkers are just a few hours away from Gorak Shep, the last stop before reaching Everest Base Camp. The trek to Lobuche is demanding, but the awe-inspiring landscape and proximity to the Everest makes it a memorable part of the journey.
