Lukla to Phakding

The trek begins with a flight to Lukla, one of the most dangerous airports in the world. Upon landing, trekkers begin their journey toward Everest Base Camp with a relatively easy hike to Phakding. The first day is a short 5-mile walk, offering a warm-up with minimal elevation gain, allowing for a relaxed start to the trek.
