Khumbu Lodge, the oldest family run hotel, is situated in the heart of Namche Bazar, 3443 metre the hub of Everest region. Ever since it was established in 1975, it has become quite synonymous with the travelers and has been successful in setting a superior standard of hospitality service in Namche under one roof.

KL has all types of rooms to suit every budget for our guests. We have 20 attached bathrooms, 25 normal private rooms to cater budget travelers without compromising comfort. We also have 9 apartment fully furnished to cater for long term stay.

KL is a lodge with history and reputation from its past successful years that can be seen on the corridor of lodge hanging on the walls. Because of its friendly service and history for serving more than 4 decade, this lodge is very popular for free independent travelers (FIT).

For those guests staying here for acclimatization day can enjoy reading a large collection of books on mountaineering, Sherpa culture and Buddhism.

Khumbu lodge is the first to introduce Internet and wifi facilities in Namche using V-SAT technology. Also we have postal service facility from our hotel guest.

Ultraviolet Filter

In an effort to minimize the pollution in the Sagarmatha National Park, KL introduced ultraviolet water with 0.5 micron filter.

Valley Shop

Khumbu Valley shop has almost everything needed for trekkers. Those who are staying in the lodge will get a best deal.
