Zonglha

Small high-altitude settlement in the Khumbu region.

Dzonglha (often spelled Zonglha) is a small high-altitude settlement in the Khumbu region of Nepal, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,830 meters. It lies along the popular trekking route between Lobuche and the Cho La Pass, making it an important stop for trekkers heading toward Gokyo or Everest Base Camp.

Surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, Dzonglha offers stunning views of peaks like Cholatse, Ama Dablam, and Lobuche. The village has a few basic lodges and teahouses that provide accommodations and meals for trekkers preparing to cross the challenging Cho La Pass (5,420 meters). Due to its remote location and high altitude, it serves as a crucial acclimatization and resting point.

With its dramatic mountain scenery and peaceful atmosphere, Dzonglha is a favorite among adventurers seeking a more rugged and less crowded route in the Everest region.
